Tobias Berg is Associate Professor of Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. His research interests are in the area of financial intermediation with a focus on bank lending, bank regulation, and the real effects of financial intermediation.
He was previously Assistant Professor at the Institute of Financial Economics and Statistics at the University of Bonn and a visiting scholar at the Stern School of Business (New York University) and the European Central Bank and has worked as a project leader at the Boston Consulting Group. Tobias Berg has published several articles in leading academic journals including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and the Journal of Financial Intermediation. Tobias Berg holds a PhD in Finance from the Technical University of Munich and he is certified as a Professional Risk Manager (PRMIA) and an Actuary (DAV).
