Katheryn Russ is a Research Professor at the IWH since 2013. She is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of California, Davis and a Faculty Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Her research analyses the investment and strategic price-setting behaviour of large firms and banks, with particular focus on macroeconomic outcomes such as exchange rate pass-through, the volatility of aggregate credit, and implications for GDP and welfare.
She has been a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Banque de France, and the Deutsche Bundesbank and is a Research Associate with the Institute for Globalization and Monetary Policy at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University in 2005.
