5th IWH/INFER Workshop on Applied Economics and Economic Policy: Trade and Capital Liberalisations – Boost for Growth or Bane of Spillover?
The Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) and the International Network for Economic Research (INFER) were organising a workshop on risk spillover, current challenges for sustainable fiscal policy, and evaluations of pan-European transfers.
The 5th IWH/INFER Workshop on Applied Economic Policy took place in Halle (Saale) on 17 and 18 September 2015. The workshop provided a platform to discuss applied economic research. We invited empirical and theoretical contributions from all fields of marcoeconomics and international economics with an emphasis on a high relevance for economic policy.
The special topic of the workshop was international trade and capital liberalisations. Contributions on the following topics are especially highly welcomed:
- international capital allocation
- capital regulation and capital controls
- international trade agreements
- link between growth and volatility
