Anushka Mukherjee joined the Department of Macroeconomics as a doctoral student in October 2025. Her research examines how multinational firms transmit and respond to global financial shocks, and what these shocks mean for firm-level productivity, investment and employment. A second strand of her work addresses the governance of advanced AI systems and their societal risks, with a focus on accountability, incident monitoring, labour markets and public-sector decision-making.
Anushka Mukherjee holds a bachelor's degree from Jadavpur University, India, and a master's degree from the University of Bonn, which included a semester as an exchange student at ENSAE Paris.
