David Bendig joined the institute as a Research Professor in May 2019. With the IWH, he conducts research primarily on topics at the interface of economics and management, with a focus on labour economics and innovation.
David Bendig leads the Institute for Entrepreneurship at the University of Münster and serves as executive board member at the REACH-Euregio Start-up Center. Prior to his current position, he was a professor at the University of Magdeburg and was a researcher and startup coach at RWTH Aachen University. He gained practical experience as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Düsseldorf and Hong Kong.
David Bendig holds degrees in Economics and Management and completed his PhD (summa cum laude) at the RWTH Aachen University. He was a visiting scholar at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, and has been awarded several best paper awards. His research interests include (corporate) entrepreneurship, innovation management, and digitalisation.
