Qizhou Xiong joined the IWH in August 2015 as a research assistant at the Department of Financial Markets and became an Assistant Professor at the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg in mid-November 2015. He is interested in many applied topics in different fields, using structural models, in particular dynamic discrete choice models. For the moment, his projects focus on household risky asset holding and housing decisions.
Qizhou Xiong received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Peking University in China and earned a master’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from Toulouse School of Economics. Since 2011, he has been involved in scientific research in the fields of household finance, labour economics, and applied microeconometrics. He taught econometrics and applied econometrics at master level as teaching assistant at Toulouse School of Economics.
