We invite young academics (PhD students and postdocs) dealing with theoretical or theoretically founded empirical research on banks and financial markets to submit a paper or a project outline for presentation at the 11th Workshop Banks and Financial Markets taking place May 11th and 12th, 2023 at the Halle Institute for Economic Research IWH in Halle (Saale).
The 13th CompNet conference will gather frontier researchers with top notch policy advises on competitiveness.
On Thursday, 10 November 2016, a PhD workshop on financial market topics with Professor Dr Claudia Buch, Vice-President of the Deutsche Bundesbank, will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the conference room of the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research Halle (IWH).

Im Fokus der Veranstaltung, die dem Wissenstransfer und Austausch mit einem wirtschaftspolitisch interessierten Fachpublikum diente, standen Untersuchungsergebnisse zur wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und institutionellen Anpassung in den mittel- und osteuropäischen Post-Transformationsökonomien, darunter in Ostdeutschland, im Zuge der europäischen Integration.
To enhance the interaction amongst finance scholars in the Berlin-Halle region, the Finance Group at Humboldt University (HU) and the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) organise a one-day seminar for PhD students, PostDocs, and Assistant Professors to present ongoing research projects. The seminar will take place twice a year, with HU and IWH taking turns in hosting the event.
This capacity building workshop for early to mid-career researchers and scientists aims to discuss practical experiences of informing policy, and to enhance participants’ ability to provide and engage in science advice for policymaking at all levels of government. Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) play a critical role in attaining national, regional and international development and public policy goals.
