Management Board and Supervisory Board
As an association established and registered under German civil law the IWH is composed of different internal bodies through which it is led and coordinated, advised and supervised. These boards include the Management Board, the Supervisory Board, the Members' Assembly as well as the Scientific Advisory Board.

Management Board
The Management Board is a collegial body. It consists of the President, the Head of Administration and the Heads of the four Scientific Departments of the IWH.
The Executive Board is part of the Management Board and consists of the President, the two Vice Presidents and the Head of Administration. Each member of the Executive Board has sole power of representation in accordance with section 26 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and represents the Association in and out of court.
