At present, CompNet is funded by a group of prominent institutions, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Commission (DG ECFIN and DG GROW), the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH), the Tinbergen Institute, the German Council of Economic Experts (Sachverständigenrat), and the European Stability Mechanism (ESM).

These institutions contribute to the network primarily through funding support. Additionally, the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) plays a central role by hosting the Scientific Team and coordinating both research activities and data collection efforts.
